1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane, also known as Halocarbon-134A, is a colorless, nonflammable, liquefied gas with slight ethereal odor. Vapors may irritate the skin and liquid tetrafluoroethane may cause frostbite; harmful amounts may be absorbed if skin contact is prolonged or widespread.At high concentrations, the gas may cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, disorientation, confusion, incoordination, and narcosis.
